Using VillaDesk as a booking manager for a B&B
Q: Can VillaDesk be used for hotels/guesthouses/B&Bs?
A: Yes, however, VillaDesk was designed with holiday home use in
mind. Note that currently VillaDesk does not allow more than
than one property to be allocated to a single booking. In a
hotel situation, this would mean that when a customer books
multiple rooms, separate booking records would
need to be entered into the system for each room booked.
Multiple Currencies
Q: Does VillaDesk support multiple currencies?
A: Yes, payment amounts can be entered in any currency. The
system will automatically convert the payment amount to the
selected base currency e.g. UK pounds, based on the exchange
rate you specify. The original currency amount and the exchange
rate will also be stored in the payment record for reference
purposes.
Licences
Q: Do I need to purchase another licence to install VillaDesk on more
than one computer?
A: The standard licence allows VillaDesk to be installed on
1 computer, so you will need to purchase an additional licence
for each additional computer you install VillaDesk on. The 4
computer licence permits installation of the software on upto 4
computers.
Support
Q: Do you provide free technical support?
A: Yes, we provide free e-mail support for one
year after purchase. You can continue to receive support after
the first year by paying a small annual software support and
maintenance subscription fee. In addition to allowing you to
continue receiving technical support, subscribing to software
support and maintenance will allow you to download updated
version of the program.
Q: Do you provide downloadable software updates?
A: Yes, we provide free software updates for one year after
purchase. You can continue to receive software updates after the
first year by paying a small annual software support and
maintenance subscription fee. In addition to allowing you to
continue receive software updates, our support and maintenance
package will allow you to continue receiving technical support.
